Have you ever had those thoughts about your future and said to yourself, “Won’t it be great when…”?  Well, we decided to change it to “Won’t it be great now!”

Welcome to Yimarra Farm, our cosy 14 acres of happiness. A typical day could see us planting, growing fruit and vegies, looking after alpacas or making furniture and timbercraft. This is of course along with all the usual farm chores that require daily attention. The best part is that we are loving our life. Be it sitting down to a meal all from the vegie garden or making another handcrafted item ready for our farm shop, these things give us so much pleasure. After almost five years of renovating, making a garden and reviving the farm, Yimarra Farm is open most weekends 10am – 5pm. We are no longer open by appointment most weekdays due to family commitments, sorry. We look forward to seeing you at the farm – individuals and tour groups are welcome 🙂

90% of our Yimarra Shop products are made entirely in Tasmania – no souvenirs made           in China – what a refreshing change! We also stock ethically-sourced Peruvian fair-trade         clothing for those of you who enjoy the gorgeous feel of alpacawear.

You might wonder where ‘Yimarra’ comes from. Our Mums’ names are Mary and Maria – if you jumble the letters…’Yimarra’! Naming something after your mother guarantees success (or at least a big hug!).

Hoping to see you sometime.
